- Each paddle is handcrafted from multiple layers of straight grain red cedar and
laminated together with epoxy for lightness, strength, and durability.

Standard paddles are finished with a blend of tung oil and varnish, which I believe
gives stronger protection to the wood than straight tung oil. You can still touch up
dings and scratches with tung oil.
If you chose an unfinished paddle, it will be fine sanded and ready for you to finish.
100% Tung oil is highly recommended as an easy to apply finish that will provide good
protection from the elements.
