- Each paddle is handcrafted from 7 layers or more of straight grain red cedar and
laminated together with epoxy for lightness, strength, and durability.

Standard paddles are finished with a blend of tung oil and varnish which I believe gives
stronger protection to the wood than straight tung oil. You can still touch up dings and
scratches with tung oil.
If you chose an unfinished paddle, it will be fine sanded and ready for you to finish.
100% Tung oil is highly recommended as an easy to apply finish that will provide good
protection from the elements.

All Standard Length Paddles are available in two piece, take-apart versions. The
addition of a carbon fiber ferrule makes your paddle easier to transport and easier to
stow on your deck as a spare. The ferrule will add $60 to any of the Standard
paddles but you will save $10 on shipping because of the shorter package.
